Government of Punjab, Department of Irrigation has released an employment notificationfor recruitment to 100 posts of Sub Divisional Engineers (Civil) & Sub Divisional Engineers (Mechanical) in the Department of Irrigation, Punjab.Candidates may apply online from 14th September 2016 to 5th October 2016.
Selection will be made through Written Test which will Tentatively held on October 16, 2016. Result of the Examination will be announced on 24th October 2016. Candidates will be selected in pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.5400.

Age Limit as on 01.01.2016 : Minimum age limit is 18 years for all categories and maximum 37 years for General, 42 years for SC/ST/BC, 47 years for Physically Handicapped, 45 years for existing Government Employees
Education Qualification:
1.Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil) - Candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering in Civil from a recognized University or institution.
2.Sub Divisional Engineer (Mechanical) - Candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering in Mechanical from a recognized University or institution.
Selection Process : Selection will be made through a Written Test.Written test will be held on 16 October, 2016 (Tentatively).
Probation Period : Selected candidates will be on probation period for three years including extended probation period
Application Fee : General Candidates have to pay Rs. 800/ and SC/BC/ Physically challenged candidates have to pay Rs. 400/ for excluding bank charges as cost of online submission of application form.Candidate have to pay fee through bank challan in any branch of State Bank of Patiala, which will be generated on submission of online application

Candidate have to upload Recent Photograph and Signatures in JPEG format.After submission of application, candidate must send printout of online application form to In charge, DIP-Cell, Thapar University, Patiala – 147 004, along with Bank deposit slip, two additional photographs, copies of requisite Certificates on or before 10th October 2016 till 5:00 PM. Envelope must be superscribe as “Application Form for the DIP recruitment.”
